Question: Hello. I have been on the contraceptive pill Microgynon for about 15 years and have recently changed to Rigevidon and my hair is now thinning....Is there any connection between hair loss and the pill?
Answer: The is no relation between contraceptive pills and thinning hair, but a temporary change eg thinning hair is possible by the change of pills. There is a good chance of recovery. Other causes may be age or a viral/ bacterial infection.
