Question: okay, I have been on the pill one full cycle now. I had been bleeding for 2 weeks, then into the 'pill free break' you are meant to have, so that was another week. So, 3 weeks in total bleeding. It stopped two days ago. I am meant to start the pill again tomorrow, but tonight I started bleeding again. What should I do? If I start the pill again, will this stop the bleed? It's rigevidon

Answer: Due to the hormonal changes brought on by the pill, irregular bleeding may occur until the body has adjusted - the pill overrides the natural menstrual cycle thus preventing unwanted pregnancy. Keep taking the pill as normal. If the bleeding does not stop within the next 2 cycles, please book an appointment with a gynecologist.
