Question: I've been starting to loose a lot of hair. What I am unsure how much hair I can lose before I should take action?
Answer: This is very much a relative question. How much hair you have and how thick your hair is, is very important. Really the main thing to look out for is how many individual hairs are in your follicle. Once you have lost all your hairs in a follicle that follicle soon dies and no regroth will occur. If however a follicle has still one hair treatments like Propecia may help not only prevent further hairloss but can also encourage further regrowth of more hairs in each follicle. the question of when to take action is really up to the individual but the earlier action is taken the more effective any treatment will be.
