Question: I placed an order online for some tamiflu suspension, however just noticed that the suspension has a limited shelf life (around 17 days if kept refrigerated I believe?) I wanted to take the medication on holiday with me in a few weeks just in case. How can I get round the medication's short shelf life?
Answer: Tamiflu for oral suspension is supplied in powder form, so as long as you do not mix the powder with water, or another liquid it will keep until the expiry date printed by the manufacturer. Only mix the powder when you want to use it.
